Title:  Senior Policy Development Specialist

Location: Mclean, VA

Clearance: TS/SCI

Key Role:
Provide a client's office with expert policy support. Perform research, analysis, coordination, development, drafting, negotiation, and adjudication of client policy instruments, including directives, instructions, policy notices, and memorandum. Provide research and analytical assessments of significant policy issues facing the agency, including recommendations for courses of action. Review and provide guidance regarding issuance from external organizations in the IC, establish comments or positions, and coordinate responses to those policies. Serve as an onsite liaison for the policy mapping function, including reviewing data collection, coordinating subject matter expert engagements, and providing regular briefings and updates to clients on status and issues.

Basic Qualifications:
-7+ years of experience as a staff officer in roles working with national or DoD policy
-Experience with using Microsoft Office
-Ability to engage and advise senior government officials
-TS/SCI clearance
-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
-Experience in the NGA or the intelligence community
-Knowledge of national and IC policy
-Knowledge of functional management and the National System for Geospatial Intelligence
-Ability to adapt to a work environment with variations in operations tempo and prioritize tasks
-Possession of excellent negotiation, organizational, interpersonal, and customer support skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph preferred
-BA or BS degree in Public Policy, International Policy, Political Science, or in a related field preferred
